Logistics Manager/Supervisor (Fremont, CA)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and lead North America logistic team, continually explore methods to improve all areas of the logistics service
- Interface with Sales team, follow up with customers on a routine basis to ensure needs and requirements are being met
- Manage and monitor the oversea ocean containers either directly to customers or to 3PL hubs updating information using logistics system to insure JIT accuracies.
- Analyze customer vendor compliance requirements in order to route shipments from 3PL hubs timely and accurately while keeping freight cost to a minimum.
- Oversee annual inventory reconciliation at 3PL and ASP sites
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related
- Excellent customer service, oral, written, problem solving, and organizational skills required
- Experience with US and International Customs requirements preferred
- Familiar with US Retail and Distribution behavior and requirements
- Minimum of 5-10 years of Logistics Management required, including transportation and warehouse management experience
- Must be computer proficient
- Must have experience in both effectively managing and enhancing domestic/international shipping
- Must have strong negotiation skills
- Outbound logistics management experience with US large retailers is a plus!
