True HDR gaming has just landed – AGON AG322QC4 (US)
Fremont, California, October 07, 2018
PC gaming has just entered a stage of visual euphoria with the new AGON AG322QC4, certified by the VESA consortium as a full fledged DisplayHDR 400 gaming monitor. One of the first gaming monitors on the market armed with AMD FreeSync 2 technology, the 32-inch AG322QC4 provides even more stunning gameplay than the AG322QCX, its predecessor. With gaming-specific HDR (High Dynamic Range) support, and superior framerate smoothing technology, the AG322QC4 blurs the line between virtual and reality.
The AOC AGON AG322QC4 is available now at major retailers:
MSRP is 49.99 USD in the US: Amazon.com, Newegg.com, B&H PhotoVideo
MSRP is 29.99 CAD in Canada: ExtremePC
Equipped with a curved 31.5" VA panel, the AG322QC4 displays a super-detailed QHD resolution (2560x1440 pixels) at a very high 144Hz refresh rate. FreeSync 2 and DisplayHDR 400 support ensure a stutter-free and tear-free gaming experience at any framerate with even more lifelike images, a higher contrast ratio, deeper blacks and a wider color gamut. The 32” class AG322QC4 is equipped with a 1800R curved panel, surrounding your vision for a more immersive gaming experience, while providing more field of vision for an edge and faster reaction than mere flat panels. The 3-sided frameless design also ensures that the visuals truly standout without distractions from unsightly frames or thick bezels.
HDR gaming is quickly becoming a widely supported feature by the recent game titles. With the hottest titles coming out of studio such as Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and Activision natively supporting HDR, gaming industry continues to push the envelope of visual mastery. Titles such as the newly released Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and the upcoming Battlefield 5 are all set to enhance the realism through high dynamic range where they take begin to take advantage of the hardware support of high dynamic range. Gamers are begin to shop for monitors that can specifically support HDR while ensuring the most immersive gaming experience with the gaming titles for a few more years to come.
Monitors are the ideal displays for gaming while TVs are great for movie watching. To help consumers understand the various technologies that can enhance the visual experience while differentiating against the TV cousins, the VESA certification group has introduced the DisplayHDR standard with three tiers of ratings. AGON AG322QC4 is one of the first monitors certified as a DisplayHDR 400 monitor. First tier in the VESA certification for High Dynamic Range, the DisplayHDR 400 specifies true 8-bit image quality, global dimming, and peak luminance of 400 cd/m², lower black levels, higher contrast and higher color gamut coverage. Experience overwhelming vibrancy and even more immersive gaming thanks to DisplayHDR 400!
AMD’s FreeSync 2 improves upon its predecessor FreeSync, keeping the support for variable refresh rate synced with the GPU’s framerate, but also including gaming-specific HDR (High Dynamic Range) support, which reduces the input lag versus conventional HDR monitors. Stricter requirements and enforcement of Low Frame Compensation (LFC) technology will ensure smooth, latency-, stutter- and tear-free gaming, now with a higher dynamic range.
Bring the battle out of the shadows with Shadow Control! Brighten dark areas or sink them back into blackness on the fly, without affecting the rest of the display. Gamers now have the edge to see more than their competitors do, an edge only achieved AOC Shadow Control. Shadow Control is available on all AGON professional gaming monitors.
Flicker Free & Lowblue Light:
AOC Flicker-Free Technology utilizes a DC (Direct Current) backlight panel, reducing flickering light levels. With eyestrain and fatigue absolutely minimized, feel free to enjoy those long, intense gaming sessions in comfort! AOC also incorporated a special low blue light mode to specifically filter and reduce the blue spectrum of light that may be harmful to your eyes. By reducing the harmful wavelengths without sacrificing color composition, you can rest assured when gaming hours on end while still enjoying the full on immersive gaming experience.
